The Sovereign Grove designs permaculture orchards for properties across Idaho’s Treasure Valley — from ready-to-plant packages you install yourself to full professional installation. Living, productive landscapes built to feed your family for generations.

We combine premium fruit trees, berry plants, nut shrubs, and native companion plantings into a complete food-production system. Every variety is chosen for Idaho’s climate. Every plant has a job — from producing fruit to attracting the beneficial insects that protect your orchard naturally.

What You’ll Grow

Imagine stepping outside and picking fresh cherries in June, apricots and peaches in July, plums through August, and apples and pears that store well into March. Add raspberries, blackberries, and hazelnuts — and your property becomes a source of food your family can rely on year after year.

Every variety in our packages is selected for performance in Idaho’s climate — cold-hardy, proven producers for Zone 6–7. We design for an extended harvest from June through the following March with long-storage varieties, and pair disease-resistant cultivars with companion plants that reduce pest pressure naturally. Each orchard package contains apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, cherries, apricots, plums, mulberries, serviceberries, elderberries, jujubes, persimmons, and more.

Our Packages

Sovereign Plant Pack — $2,500

Your orchard starts here. We hand-select 30 premium fruit trees chosen specifically for Idaho’s climate — cold-hardy, disease-resistant varieties that produce from June through March with long-storage cultivars. You also receive a full set of 72 companion plant plugs and native species, a planting guide, and a phone consultation to walk you through everything. You pick up the trees in Weiser in the Spring and plant them on your own schedule.

Sovereign Blueprint — $4,500 (Our Most Popular Package)

Everything in the Plant Pack, plus we come to your property and design a custom orchard layout built around your specific land. We assess your soil, sun exposure, drainage, and microclimates, then create a professional plan that tells you exactly where every tree goes — and why. You install it yourself or hire local help, with our guidance along the way. A follow up visit after you plant helps ensure you have done everything right.

Full Orchard Installation — Starting at $45,000

A complete, professionally installed food-production system. Includes 30 fruit trees, 50 raspberries, 30 blackberries, 25 hybrid hazelnuts, a full native companion plant system, irrigation, and site preparation. We handle everything from design through planting day. You walk into a finished orchard. Adaptable for 1/2 to 1 acre.

Add On Options

Raspberry Pack — $750. 50 Bare Root Plants, 2 year old, Joan J everbearing raspberries. Heavy producers, thornless, excellent flavor midsummer through fall. Creates a 100′ row.

Blackberry Pack — $750. 30 Prime-Ark Freedom primocane blackberries. Thornless, upright, and productive. Produce excellent fruit on first year growth. Easy! Creates a 100′ row.

Hybrid Hazelnut Pack — $750 . 25 cold-hardy hybrid hazelnuts, bare root. Nut production begins within a few years. Excellent protein and oil source. 1-2′

Pollinator Flower Starter Kit — $200. 72 plugs (one flat) A curated mix of native wildflowers and beneficial insect habitat plants.

Shade Tree Package — $3,500 50 bare-root and fabric pot shade trees, 5–8 feet tall. Mixed high-quality varieties (Maple, Oak, Hackberry, Elm, etc.) Professional installation available — contact us for pricing.

Grafted Pawpaw Collection — $150. Three grafted pawpaw trees, selected for outstanding flavor and fruit size. Often called “America’s best-kept secret fruit,” pawpaws produce large, mango-looking creamy tropical-flavored fruit in late summer — right here in Idaho. A unique addition to any orchard. 6″-12″ tall. Limited.

Ongoing Care

Biological Management Plan — $465/month. Precision-timed visits built around pest life cycles. We manage your orchard’s health using the same companion plant and beneficial insect systems we designed into it. Western Cherry Fly and Codling Moth control.

Full Maintenance Plan — $995/month. Everything in the Biological Management Plan plus companion plant care, path mowing, irrigation monitoring, structural pruning, seasonal management, and spring planting of productive annuals like sweet alyssum, melons, pumpkins, and sunflowers in open spaces throughout the orchard.

Both plans include written reports after every visit. We primarily support orchards we’ve designed and installed, but we’re open to working with existing orchards on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to discuss what your property needs.
